Drive 01: Along West Dominick Street towards James Street, Looking South

 











Growing up in Rome during the 1970s, I was too young to appreciate the disappearance of many buildings downtown. Using the Sentinel's great RetroRome site, I've been creating card-stock models of what downtown looked like when I was a kid. Here's a drive-through the 200 block of West Dominic Street looking south. I think I have about 40 or 50 buildings modeled in card-stock by now. It's a bit of a puzzle trying to piece together what building was there from black & white photos.
